                            Alexis Waddel-Smith

Alexis Smith completed her first triathlon at age 9. A pro since 2001, she races well at all distances. She placed 13th in the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Trials and took 5th at the Ironman USA National Championship in Lake Placid, NY in 2005. She was the overall champion at the Tri-Cal Pro Series in 2004, 2007 & 2008. Alexis received her B.S. degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State where she was a scholarship cross country runner and competed on the cycling team. Alexis graduated in August 2011 from San Jose State University with a Master's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology. She has coached high school and college cross county and track and field. She is a Level II USA Triathlon Coach and co-owner of Monterey Bay Multisport, a coaching business. Alexis has been married for almost 4 years and she is the proud mom of her first child, 10 month old Gabriel.

               

            

                     Sharon deMaria Osgood

Sharon deMaria Osgood has been involved in coaching athletes for 25+ years. She began as a USPTA tennis
professional and taught and coached at many private clubs as well as coaching successful high school and college teams. Triathlon started as a hobby in 1992, but soon became a passion. She qualified for the World Championships (Olympic Distance) in 1996, 1997 and again in 2006. She has been a top age group triathlete for over 15 years, earning a silver medal at the aquathlon world championships in 2006. Sharon is a Level-2 Triathlon coach and serves as the USAT Regional Athlete Development Coordinator. She developed and directed the successful Tri-California Kids and Adult Triathlon Camps. Sharon and Alexis are co-owners of Monterey Bay Multisport. The MBM High Performance Racing team consists of elite and age group athletes (ages 10-60) developing and learning
Multisport as a life-style. Sharon has been married for 29 years and has 4 children, all of whom have been involved in multisport activities. She served as the U.S. Team Coach for the University World Championships in August 2006 in Switzerland and was recently named “Development Coach of the Year” by the US Olympic Committee for the sport of Triathlon in 2008.
